Hey there, just checking if this question has been asked before. I own an MSI B450 mortar max with a Ryzen 3600 and the BIOS I had in December 2019. I'm considering an update, not because I need it, but to see if switching to the newer BIOS—especially one with support for Ryzen 5000—would affect my current setup. I'm pretty confident it won't, but I'd rather be safe than risk anything. Thanks!

It's best to avoid updating your BIOS unless it's essential.

Don't interfere unless it's functioning properly and the updated version lacks desired features or resolves an issue you're facing.
