Have any ideas for Building AdviceFirst before making a purchase?
Hello, this is my initial build and it’s been quite challenging. Finding prices and stock in my area has been difficult, so I had to invest a lot of time researching each part. Most components are still in question, but I’ve already purchased the RAM, SSD, and an extra fan (the photo shows the closest version I could locate).
I’ll share the PCP and my reasoning for selecting each item below. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The desired performance is aiming for 1440p at 240 FPS in Destiny 2 and Warzone, which seems achievable.
CPU: The 9800x3D model costs $150 more than expected; I’m not convinced it’s worth the extra.
AIO: The best appearance I found within budget, though the Arctic Freezer III isn’t available.
RAM: Already bought, looks fine and was priced at $101.
SSD: Already purchased, with positive reviews and speed.
GPU: The cheapest 9070xt I could locate; 5070ti models are $180 more.
Case: Preferred for its 270-degree angle and inclusion of four fans (three reverse).
PSU: 3.1 rating, A tier on the SPL Tier list.
Motherboard: Prices are very low, and there are about four options available (my RAM isn’t listed in the gigabyte QVL, but it’s available on the MSI QVL).
- MSI Pro B650 S Wifi = $195
- Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX = $195
- Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 = $225
- MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI = $240
The Antec is a 011D clone and would likely need additional fans. I don’t have much to say about DDR5 or Team Group, but G Skill seems like a solid option for DDR4. I’m not sure about all the MSI power supplies, though—the rating looks decent. Assuming you’ve checked the connectors already, it’s a good build at first glance.
MB already includes a heat sink for the main M.2 port, which is superior to the one on your selected SSD since it was designed to manage significantly higher temperatures from PCIe v5.0 SSDs.
If it's a secret, that's your decision or right. But it complicates things for others to assist you when you lack location, budget, and preferred shops. Without understanding what's available and its costs, how can you expect support to make a better decision? Do you know the parts and prices in your country? Could you share helpful advice without knowing that?
Fair point, these are the four key locations selling computer parts. Other sites don’t really deserve attention.
