Hi everyone, quick question about port forwarding. If you have two servers for the same game—say Minecraft—using the same port, can you forward them to the same machine? Yes, you can, but you’ll need to set up separate ports for each server. To tell them apart when connecting, use different IP addresses or ports on your router. If you want to switch modpacks later, you can change the port numbers without affecting the current setup. If a game doesn’t let you change the port, you might need to run it on a different machine or adjust settings manually. Let me know if you need more details!

Both systems must use distinct external ports. You can reassign the port destination on a server. If a game doesn’t allow port changes, you’re limited to one per public IP address, which usually costs an additional $10 to $20 monthly from your ISP.

Within a single NAT setup, only one app can use a port at once. If you need two instances of the same app, you must set up another NAT behind it. For instance: Modem connects to Router 1, Router 1 links to server 1, and Router 2 connects to server 2. The first and second devices hold apps with restricted port changes.

All statements provided are accurate. Just a few notes: if you wish to avoid typing port numbers for connecting to multiple Minecraft servers on the same external IP, consider purchasing a domain and configuring SRV records to include both IP and port. Not all software supports this feature, especially older versions of Minecraft prior to 1.3. For details, refer to the linked guide or search "Minecraft SRV" on NoIP's support page. If you need a domain, NameCheap is a good option, though it's a personal preference.

You'd have to adjust the port on one of them. It's quite simple if you're playing Minecraft. Just open server.properties with Notepad, and update the server-port field to something like "server-port=12345" or any other port you prefer, rather than the default "server-port=25565".

Thanks to all! I value your feedback. I think I’ll mainly adjust server.properties and modify the port, as I already planned that, but it’s good to understand what other apps can do.
