Hi, here are your questions rephrased:
I’m facing issues with frame rates in recent and demanding games, such as Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where performance drops to 24-28 fps in tough areas. I’d like to raise the minimum FPS for a smoother experience.
My PC is five years old, and I’ve already optimized my GPU (1050MHz clock, 1350x4 MHz memory clock) and have no concerns about overclocking it. However, I’m curious about the CPU and RAM.
My setup includes:
- Motherboard: ASUS P8H77-M LE
- CPU: Intel i5-3330 @ 3GHz (not K-series, so limited overclocking)
- RAM: Kingston 8GB PC10666 CL9 1333MHz 9-9-9-24
- GPU: ASUS HD7850 2GB
- PSU: 500W
- No SSD, only HDD.
Could I improve performance without upgrading any components? Thanks ahead of time.
P.S. Since Witcher 3 is more GPU-heavy, another question: would overclocking the CPU and RAM help at all?

just don't, you require a stronger CPU and GPU to run AAA games. Overclocking offers only a small improvement.
