I just increased my memory capacity to 32gb from 16gb. Everything worked normally until I encountered random memory error messages in chrome. After rebooting, it functioned properly for a few days. Playing a video game last night caused it to freeze and display a blue screen related to memory management. Checking the BIOS revealed that my old RAM settings were still using 1.35 volts with a timing of 16-18-18. My new RAM is set at 22-22-22 at 1.2 volts. This discrepancy might be causing the problem. My next action will be running memtest.

Getting the timing incorrect definitely leads to instability in the RAM.

You're considering running memtest and wondering if the increased voltage might have caused any harm.

It might not have caused any damage, but memtest can assist in resolving the issue.

Did you upgrade by adding 16gb, or did you replace with a 32gb kit?
Mismatched ram can cause all sorts of issues.
Ram faster than default is overclocked ram running at higher than stock voltages.
By itself, not dangerous unless it is an extreme jump.
It would help if you listed your specs in detail.
By all means run memtest.
You should be able to complete a full pass with NO errors.

What RAM is it?
Can you provide screenshots from CPU-Z showing the memory and speed sections? (upload to imgur.com and share the link)
Also, please list the model names of your CPU and motherboard. (or display screenshots from CPU-Z for CPU and motherboard details)
Is it DDR4?
For DDR4 1.35V, the standard OC voltage is used. It should be able to operate at these voltages without any damage.
