Hi, issue: I don’t see any signal for monitoring components. Parts list: 5800X3D ASRock B550M steel legend replaced with ASUS TUF B550M-E M.2 SSD (tried booting without each time). OEM air mini 3090 TUF 2 x 16GB HyperX Fury 3600MHz CL16 Corsair RME 1000W Arctic Liquid Freezer 2. I tried using the steel legend board with BIOS update from the shop, but no post appears even though the PC runs fine. Also, two red LEDs show CPU and DRAM status. I verified the CPU power connector is properly seated in the PCIe slot, but everything seems fine. I tested GPU and RAM sticks in another build—they work. I attempted to run with one stick, no SSD, cleared CMOS, removed battery, shorted the two pins, checked thermal paste spreading, used multiple monitors and cables—still nothing. Second attempt: bought an ASUS TUF B550M-E, updated BIOS myself, everything followed instructions. No debugging LEDs appear, but all other indicators light up and spin. Is the 5800X3D defective upon arrival? Any advice would be appreciated.

It helps a lot having another CPU to verify things. It seems the BIOS update might have failed, the PCIe could be problematic, or the CPU might be completely dead. Also, check that the cable is connected to the DP or HDMI port closest to you, or test all available ports. They often pick specific connections for displays.

I received the CPU from our supplier. Would you like to return or exchange it?

same issue on two different boards after updating to the latest BIOS, I won't include PCIE problems or connectors. Two fresh boards have been tried again. PSU cables are fine, performed four tests twice each on each motherboard. CPU DOCA was also on my mind.

I needed to refresh the BIOS with each release in order, but it wasn’t available anywhere. This method functioned for the B550M-E Asus TUF while I waited for the shop to process the ASRock model—I hoped they’d recognize it!
