Previously I faced a video glitch followed by a black screen. Since then, no display appears at all, not even the BIOS. The fan spins but the monitor stays dark. Last month’s case worked temporarily, but now it doesn’t. I’ve tried several fixes: resetting CMOS, using spare CPU A8 9600, switching RAM, and power cycling. Now I’m getting very discouraged because the system won’t even show BIOS. If anyone else has similar problems, any advice would be helpful.
I’d consider switching to another monitor, disconnect all your displays and test a reliable one. Purchase an inexpensive motherboard compatible with your CPU and check if you can post content (under $100). If it doesn’t work, the issue might be the motherboard itself. It’s odd that both integrated graphics and the GPU aren’t showing anything, so I’d suspect the motherboard problem without further testing.
I connected the monitor to my work laptop and it functioned properly. Thanks for the update. I’m still unsure if the motherboard is the problem. Does an A8 9600 fit with a B450M? I recall facing the same issue when installing the Ivy Bridge CPU on a Sandy Bridge board without updating the BIOS—it just showed blank.
PCPartPicker lists several boards as compatible with the A8 9600, though they also note concerns about the X370 Pro not supporting 128 GB RAM—though it does support it. Proceed with caution when interpreting these details
