Has the pin on your motherboard broken?
I'm assembling my gaming PC and placed the processor in its slot, but noticed some pins appearing slightly misaligned. A gentle touch suggested they might be pointing upward but not fully secured. Should I be concerned? Will it affect performance or cause harm to the CPU? It seems the chip may realign itself once properly seated. I'm anxious because I'm unsure what to do and whether this could lead to damage. Thanks for your attention.
It seems the single pin might not function, but we don’t have enough details so it could still work. If your return period has ended, consider submitting it now—it might not appear as an issue until you use a different PCIe slot or similar component later. If you haven’t passed the return window, you can attempt to use it directly and check for obvious failures, or try reshaping it to fit others. I usually use dental tools to adjust them, though they’re quite delicate.
Thank you for your response. I'll attempt to power on the PC and check its status. I'm hoping it will function properly.
