Has something strange happen with your Windows 10 system?
Hello! Over the past weeks my Windows 10 performance has been severely affected. Programs often stop working after a short period, even when I open the Start menu—it freezes, closes, and I can't get back in. This is really annoying because I need to restart the computer for anything to change. I've tried almost every solution found online about "Windows 10 freezing" or programs stopping, but nothing worked. Sometimes it lasted only a few hours before it crashed again, other times just minutes.
At first I thought my SSD might be the issue, but after hours of rendering videos, nothing happened. Recently, while livestreaming, my computer crashed after about an hour. After restarting, I kept streaming for 10 minutes and then it crashed again, more than once in a row with ten-minute gaps. It was super frustrating to broadcast, and my viewers didn't like the interruptions. I wasn't able to fix it at the time.
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and installed a new SSD. Maybe the SSD is damaged now? When I left my PC in that "freezing" state, even the mouse froze. After some time it restarted but showed an error saying "No boot device found." This makes me really worried about my brand-new SSD. My system specs are:
- Motherboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 3
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
- RAM: 2x Kingston Fury DDR3 8GB (16GB total)
- GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 960 (2GB version)
- HDD: 500GB NCQ Seogate 7200rpm SSD
- Storage: KINGSTON SSD HYPERX FURY 240GB
Please help me—I really appreciate any advice you can offer!
Restoring windows is the top choice, or you might consider a recovery attempt.

According to M.Yurizaki's insights, swapping the SSD SATA cable might help. I've experienced issues with the system due to a faulty SATA cable. Another possibility is a defective SSD or possibly faulty RAM. If the RAM isn't working correctly, the device may stop responding.
