I'm worried about trying to improve it. My monitor's refresh rate is 144hz, and I'd like to get the most out of it.

the gpu isn't the main issue here. my 745 with a 4460s could handle it at low-med-high with about 50 fps, so lower settings should work better. the gpu isn't really the bottleneck. and i won't suggest a perfect match, i'll recommend something that's worth your investment.
