I have experienced crashes with newer games, while older titles function correctly. Specifically, I encounter crashes in recent open-world exploration games and Forza Horizon 4, as well as random freezing in Rocket League which resolves after using the Task Manager. Similar issues occur with other unremembered games. All drivers are updated, and I have performed a full Windows 10 format and reinstall on both drives. Despite monitoring CPU (below 70°C) and GPU temperatures (also below 70°C) via TM and AIDA64 during gameplay, I received an Unreal Engine error message: “D3D device being lost,” causing concern about potential GPU failure. Given my hardware specifications—ASUS PRIME B365M-A, Intel i7-6700, GTX 1070 8GB, 16GB Kingston DDR4, Corsair VS650, Samsung 860 EVO 250GB, Seagate 1TB—I am seeking assistance to identify a solution that avoids hardware replacement.

Your power supply unit does not appear suitable for the specified system. Please confirm you are running the latest BIOS version for your motherboard and identify the operating system version. Also, indicate whether you have a dual-channel RAM kit or if the memory is mixed.

Please note that the i7-6700 processor is not listed on your motherboard’s supported CPU list; the board is compatible only with 8th and 9th generation Intel CPUs, as per the specifications page. Either the processor was incorrectly listed or you are using an incompatible processor for this motherboard.
