Hello everyone. Here’s a bit unusual tale to share.
System: Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX
Processor: Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core (3.7GHz-4.6GHz) with 35MB cooling via Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240mm
Memory: G.Skill Kit 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200MHz Ripjaws V Black CL
GPU: RTX 3060 Ti VENTUS 2X OCV1 LHR 8G487.72
Power Supply: Phanteks Revolt SFX 750W 80+ Gold
Case: Mini-ITX ssupd Meshlicious
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

After playing Last of Us, the system began displaying kernel 141 and 117 during idle and browsing, then restarted frequently. Heavy loads never triggered the issue. During warranty service, both the board and CPU were replaced, yet the problem persisted. The GPU was returned to the manufacturer without issues. It continued only after the NVMe was swapped.

When I tried the second game, the same pattern emerged. Identical kernels and a VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116) error appeared during dump file analysis. Replacing the NVMe didn’t resolve it. After installing a fresh Windows 10 and updating drivers, I changed the registry Tdrdelay to 8 to try and prevent the failure, but the issue persisted—just slowed down. Analyzing the latest crash with an 8-second delay revealed VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR (119).

Also set: Power management mode = "Prefer maximum performance" in the Nvidia control panel.
That sounds strange, right?
What are your thoughts?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Your system is a Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX equipped with a Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB of 3200 Mhz RAM, and an RTX 3060TI running at stock clock.
When sharing troubleshooting threads, it's important to provide complete system details. List your specifications clearly as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
RAM:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. Also, mention the BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
Board, CPU, and RAM were replaced during warranty service, but the work continued.
Are you using the same parts or similar components? Did you reinstall the operating system after swapping the motherboard?
Yes, a fresh Windows 10 installation was performed.
Where did you obtain the installer for your OS? Did you install it offline, manually installing all drivers in an elevated command while offline? What driver version is your RTX 3060 Ti running on?

Same equipment observed, but the new board appears to be revision 1.3. Uncertain if the operating system was reinstalled following the replacement. Purchased the full PC in April 2022. The BIOS is current, updated just yesterday. Windows was installed in offline mode. Updated GPU driver to the previous WHQL after the latest kernel issues.
