I operate with Crucial Ballistix 2666MHz CL 16 DRAM (8GB x 2) at 3000MHz CL 15. In BIOS I've configured the voltage to 1.35V, but BIOS and HWInfo report 1.38V. The actual voltage running in your RAM depends on your motherboard settings—verify with the manufacturer’s guidelines. The board seems to be reading too high a voltage, possibly 30mV over. It looks like hwinfo might be misinterpreting the RAM voltage. Adjusting the voltage up to around 1.6V should help. Aim for no more than 1.5V if cooling isn't sufficient—excess heat can cause instability. Check the burner settings for RAM output; if you're using a different chipset, you might need specific OC instructions. If you have a Micron E or B die, expect around 4600-5000 CL18 at about 1.65V or lower at 1.5V. Otherwise, you can refer to similar setups for guidance. For example, with a generic 1GB Samsung DDR3 stick, I used a 2Gbit revision C and reached 2200MHz at 2V (safe for DDR3).

Most users suggest 1.5v speed. If you lack fans directly on the rams, go with 1.5v. When fans are present on the rams, cap at 1.6v max. At 45c it’s unrealistic, especially in hot climates like ours—desert temperatures are typical. For the Micron D die, these seem to push overclocking limits; a 3000 cl15 appears close to its full capacity based on other builders’ reports. Just ignore others’ numbers and focus on your own test footage from buildzoid recordings. From the DDR3 IC discussion, your clock should likely stay under 933MHz, though some joke it’s possible. I had mine at 2200MHz (1100MHz) stable at 2v on an x58 platform—first-gen DDR3 IMX platform. So don’t let others’ results discourage you; stick to what you see in your builds.
