Does it start rapidly? If not, it isn't significantly quicker. Many comparable applications I've tested feel heavy and sluggish compared to the native built-in choice.

It is released under another layer. This could vary based on the platform.

I'm familiar with the Minitool Partition Wizard and also use the built-in Windows Disk Management. I've managed to work around the issue, though I don't believe Windows is designed this way—it might be a bug in the latest release. In the screenshot I checked, an old USB HDD marked yellow didn't show any letter next to it, not even in Windows Explorer (no drive visible). So I had to assign a letter manually. The USB thumb sticks seem to function now? Desktop Screenshot 2026.01.23 - 17.23.48.651.jxr

The screenshot indicates you're attempting to manage C-drive settings. It's unclear if altering the system partition letter is feasible, as Windows typically designates "C" for the Windows partition. It's safer not to change it if possible. For other data drives, you should be able to assign unused letters. A third-party tool might offer options beyond what Windows provides. I'd be cautious about actions Microsoft might discourage.

This was merely an illustration because I didn’t have a flash drive connected. It’s unlikely it would allow any action. I’ll explain further in the original message.

I believe you're referring to the screenshot from treysblackshoes. I added another one below (Desktop.... 2026). You need to click on it, I think.

I reinstalled Windows 11 from the beginning and decided not to recover any saved configurations. The hard drives appear to function properly now.

Your recent update didn’t appear brand new—it relied on a previously saved configuration, such as one stored in OneDrive.

I created a new installation and set up with my Windows account, but during setup some drives asked to recover files such as apps and settings. I might have chosen to click next, skip, or something similar in certain steps. How would you describe this experience?

Fresh meat means a cow that's still moving. Use Rufus to bypass MS account needs. Avoid using that account to pull back old problems. A new setup is often necessary for fresh hardware or if the current OS caused issues. You shouldn't try to bring back anything from past versions.
