Handling the exception violation access
I'm currently using my phone while working on this... I miss having a desktop. The sfc /scannow tool checks system files for corruption on Windows. It might not do anything if the system is already damaged. This command should function as I've used it before. The settings are correct for the XMP profile with the frequency listed on the packaging. If this doesn't work, reinstalling Windows would be the next step.
I completed the scan and received the message indicating corrupted files were fixed. I’ve been provided with a log file location. I’ll reattempt the games and let you know the outcome. Also, I haven’t mentioned this before—my system was an Intel setup, now it’s running on AMD, and I don’t recall the chipset number.
I haven't set up my drive beforehand; I assumed it would work the same after switching from an AMD system to an Intel one without issues. I plan to reinstall Windows and format the drive soon.
Consider upgrading to Windows 11 before reinstalling, as it offers newer features and improvements.
You're free to stick with Windows 10 if you prefer, as the 7600X isn't built for Intel's P-core/E-core configuration which works best with Windows 11. It's up to you whether you make the change. I haven't run into any problems using my 5950X on Windows 11.
I'll go with version 10 then, thanks. I'll keep you posted on my progress once I'm done, just need to back up the data first.
Backup all information on the C drive and reformat or reinstall Windows 10. Install necessary drivers and verify if the crashes persist.
