Ensure Bitlocker is turned off. If your license is OEM, transferring it to a new PC isn't possible. You may need a water mark or a new license. Follow these steps: Press Windows key + R, type slmgr /dli and press enter. A window will appear; if it shows RETAIL channel, you're ready to move Windows with or without a fresh install. If using a fresh install and not logged in with an MS account, provide your product key. With an MS account, the key isn't required as it's tied to your account. Otherwise, just enter the key when prompted. For safety, reinstalling Windows is advisable but you can test it. It usually functions well on modern systems.

Make sure you have your RETAIL or OEM permission. Ideally, save all important data—files, photos, music, videos, save games—and then reinstall Windows. A fresh setup ensures better performance and prevents problems like driver issues, crashes, and BSODs.
