I chose to safeguard all my media. I removed every track from my music collection without issues using dBpoweramp. I opted to use Handbrake for ripping DVDs, though I face some difficulties. I attempted to rip multiple DVDs with the standard options, but each run ended up showing a nearly black screen and poor audio with static and unpleasant noises. Is this an issue many encounter, and what steps could help resolve it? Also, note that my storage device is quite old.

They haven’t been decrypted yet. Have you tried using the appropriate software in the background? Handbrake alone doesn’t work for this anymore.

I discovered on other discussion boards that VLC 2.0 didn’t support HandBrake. I considered updating to a previous VLC release, but opted to experiment with MakeMKV instead, which functioned perfectly.

Use MakeMKV to extract the DVD, then apply handbrake for conversion
