Half-Life: Alyx - 9 Minutes of Playtime
Well, it seems like just another basic walking simulator to me. I need to experience some faster-paced action, like in earlier versions, including sprinting sections to truly assess how functional this is. VR games haven’t really caught my attention, and this isn’t significantly altering my views on them yet.
Considering classic 2D monitor titles, I aim to translate my preferences from typical first-person shooters. The experience should feel highly immersive, like being fully inside a game world rather than observing it from outside. When an NPC appears, you should notice a life-sized figure right beside you, reinforcing your sense of presence in the 3D space. Pair this with compelling storytelling, engaging mechanics, atmospheric music, and subtle horror aspects. A slow pace with built-in tension and exploration will be ideal.
