Upgrade your PC specs: CPU, RAM, and GPU improvements. Consider a mid-range processor if budget allows. If funds are tight, focus on optimizing existing components and exploring affordable upgrades like a better RAM stick or a more powerful SSD.

Have you considered increasing your graphics settings to shift some processing to your GPU? This may lower your frame rate, but it could ease the load on your CPU.

Examine a refurbished i7 7700 or install a brand-new CPU with a board (like the Ryzen 5 3600 and ASRock B450 Pro4). The previous i5 isn’t sufficient anymore.

Adjusted graphics settings to their highest level, yet CPU consumption remains steady at 100%.

Would you need to replace your motherboard for a significant upgrade?

A 7700 or even an 8700 should fit your motherboard.

If you switch the motherboard, consider getting a compatible CPU and board that match its specifications.

Your top mid-range pick is the Ryzen 5 3600, while the Ryzen 7 3700X offers the premium choice. Pair it with a solid B450 board such as the Steel Legend for optimal performance.
