Check compatibility carefully. Ensure the i5 fits the H series board and meets power requirements. Consider thermal management and performance limits.

Yes it is safe, you just can't OC with ab 'H' series motherboard, but you can't OC a 10400 anyways so really no concern here. Why not go AMD though?

I reside in Indonesia and wished to purchase a 3300x model, but none are available in stock here with prices starting around $150 or higher. The 3600 costs approximately $205, while the 10400f is $170. That’s why I chose Intel.

It's safe technically. I just would not go for this combo personally considering how bad H series boards are. And how mediocre the 10400 is. Can you wait for zen 3? What's your budget?

The H series board isn’t great because it offers limited options—especially with the price difference between B460 and H410 being around $35. It feels like a compromise you can’t be happy with.

They usually lack top VRM performance and have restricted RAM capacity. Which H-series boards are you considering?

I was looking for the ASRock B460 model, specifically the H410M-HDV/M.2 variant you mentioned.

Consider using bare MOSFETs; they might not work well for the 10400. Which H series boards are suitable alternatives?
