I understand how these games function, and I’m aware of the warnings they usually provide about early access. I’m looking forward to giving it a try, thinking the technical problems should clear up soon and things will improve. So far, I haven’t encountered any significant issues, aside from difficulty getting into the game.

Someone ignores the disclaimer details. They receive a shitty alpha version and then become upset. Early access titles shouldn't exist anymore. It's absurd. If early access appears, it must be free or users should be compensated for testing.

Valid point. If you have not experienced this type of game, I suppose the price could be justified. The game is said to be released as a free-to-play so there is no real advantage to pre-purchase at the "alpha" pricing. Furthermore, this will run off of the Planetside 2 engine, a game engine that has more bugs than -insert witty joke here- and is horribly optimized, though, it is a very fun experience. It has a good amount of potential assuming it makes enough money to keep the development team interested. All in all, if you'd like the zombie apocalypse experience DayZ Standalone and the Arma mods, in my opinion, is the way to go. Disclaimer: not a DayZ fan boy, I play neither standalone or the mods any longer. All they have become is a giant death match between pro no-scope l33t snipars, hackers, noobs, server admins, and the few people that actually RP ...which, is what H1Z1 will become.

I think the "beta" feature should be available for free, probably to help fund the developers. I enjoyed DayZ because it was accessible without cost, though you could pay if you wanted support. At least that’s how it worked—though I haven’t played it myself. I’m planning to try DayZ now; I just didn’t have much motivation since few friends still play it. With H1Z1 there’s a lot of interest, but I’m hoping to be able to join the game soon. Tonight I can’t log in, but most people are facing the same problem.

The excitement around H1Z1 feels similar to the buzz we saw with WarZ earlier.

Noticing how many people are struggling with it... I don't think it's worth the effort. Also, it looks like pay2win has already posted about this on Reddit.

Heard the game wasn't great, only time will tell. We'll find out. Probably if it's bad, you'll lose about twenty dollars, but I'm not too worried. I just want to know when we can actually play. I really don't like 'pay to win' games—paying should only cover cosmetics or looks, not game bonuses. Plus, I couldn't even get in after downloading it. It was the first day and I knew there'd be issues. I'll give it another shot this weekend.

Users expressing frustration say P2W updates are problematic because features don’t behave as expected. Airdrops are meant to be distributed randomly across the network, not targeted at specific users. If many people try to claim them, there’s no assurance of rewards.

I heard some people got airdrop full of zombies. Sounds good to me If this is the only way to spend money then i can let it pass since enyone could loot the airdrop u purchased. But game loos too bad (graphically) to be worth my time, unless its £5 on g2a. Then i dont mind.
