H100i temp questions
After reviewing numerous water cooling discussions, it seems my H100i isn't working as expected. Do any of you have the specifications for the H100i, like flow rates, so I can connect it to the rad chart and figure out what's happening? My 3570k is running at 4.2Ghz, handling heavy X264 work. CPU-Z shows my Core Voltage at 1.248V under load. I’m puzzled because my Delta-T in C is over 30, even though the H100i is set to full tilt. The temperature is around 24.6C, while core temps range from 60C to 67C. Any insights into why this is occurring? My CPU has a stock TDP of 77.0W and an overclocked TDP of 95.
Delta-T represents the gap between coolant temperature and surrounding air temperature, excluding actual core temperatures.
Delta-T represents the gap between coolant temperature and surrounding air temperature, excluding actual core readings.
Delta-T refers to the variation between coolant temperature and ambient air temperature, not the actual core temperatures. That's what I got wrong earlier. Thanks, Rubix!
No worries, a frequent misunderstanding about liquid cooling. Delta-T helps specify the variation between different cooling fluids. The key is determining which fluids are being compared.
