I own an H61M-S2PT with a 2x4 DDR3 8GB RAM setup and an Intel Core i3 3220. Even so, I might be able to boost the CPU performance or at least enhance its efficiency.

Jackprogamer shared some advice with DSzymborski. Genz added that the 3220 is not compatible with K and suggests trying to overclock the CPU strap, but recommends underclocking RAM first. OC RAM isn't reliable. It's affordable to replace the CPU with an i5/7-3XXX for better performance, which would be a good idea. If the issue persists, other problems might exist. If the CPU is indeed too slow, getting a new one is the right solution. No further action needed if it's just the CPU speed that's the issue.

No, the motherboard or CPU does not support overclocking.

Nope, 3220 isn't compatible with K. You might want to try adjusting the CPU strap and lower the RAM clock speed beforehand to avoid damage. Upgrading the RAM won't help much since OC RAM is unreliable. It's not a cheap fix to find an i5/7-3XXX replacement that offers double performance.

Nope. 3220 is non-K. You might want to try adjusting the CPU strap and underclock the RAM first, to avoid damaging it. OC RAM isn't worth it. It's not cheap to get an i5/7-3XXX to swap in for better performance, but it could help. I can't afford a new CPU right now, so what can I do to make it work better?

What problem are you facing? I'm looking for additional CPU power for gaming.

Jackprogamer shared his thoughts on the situation. He mentioned that the 3220 is not compatible with K and suggested trying to overclock the CPU strap, but advising to underclock the RAM first to avoid damage. He emphasized that replacing the RAM won't help and that the i5/7-3XXX would be a better upgrade option. He also noted he can't afford a new CPU right now and asked if there are other fixes possible for the current issue.

Nope. 3220 is non-K. You can try and overclock the CPU strap, that's it. You will want to under clock the RAM before you do that so as not to push it too. OC RAM is useless and unreliable.
It's not expensive to find an i5/7-3XXX to replace it with that would give you twice the power. Worth noting.
i can't afford a cpu right now so can i do something to improve the cpu?
If something's not working like it supposed to, there may be other issues that you can remedy. But if the problem is simply the CPU is too slow, then the curt replies to get a new CPU are dead-on; there's no magic to get an i3-3220 to be a better CPU than an i3-3220.
