Check the photos and match them to the wiring diagram. Based on the visuals, determine the correct termination sequence for the RJ45 cable.

Redo the wall plate; the colors are orange/white-orange swapped. The rest is T-586A.

It appears to be a T-586A model. Refer to the keystone instructions for confirmation. Thank you for pointing this out.

Not affected by color vision issues, just puzzled about the mismatch. Maybe the keystone wires are moving around before reaching the pins.

They meet on the board and settle at the finish line.

My estimation is clear for the installer. After ending the opposite side, verify the pinout using a cable tester.

Oh wow, I didn’t even see that one coming. Nice call. To be honest, unless there’s another way they measure things but they still use the same name, it’s pretty safe. Whenever I connect my gear, I stick to the standard manuals and don’t dig too deep. Only when I’m soldering cables do I check a diagram, because I like keeping things straightforward.

So an update, I ended up pulling most of the plates off the walls (except behing the TV, need help pulling it off the wall) and EVERY plate was wired differently than the others. Ended up redoing all of them and now have a functioning AP in the bedroom. Not sure what intern they had doing the drops, but what a mess.
