Performed Andy's guidance and reached 6:17. BIOS PopOS appears as an option, though not for me. The PC is a Dell Optiplex 755 running Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, originally intended for Windows XP. I'm attempting to switch to Linux. The boot USB remains connected; when powered on, the system enters a Live Environment for PopOS installation. After the first install, a third option prompts whether to "refresh the install," indicating PopOS is present but inaccessible without the USB. Need assistance.

Yes, I’ve checked that on my Optiplex 760. You need to manually turn on boot devices during the BIOS setup process.

Check the location together—since we both think the BIOSes are alike, it’s likely they’re in the same section of the device.

No, I haven't installed the bootloader on your SSD or HDD yet.

The BIOS settings for your 760 and 755 are likely distinct, with yours offering a more visual interface while the other is purely text-based. Your drive appears to be active, but the bootloader is indeed present.

I believe you're asking about locating the bootloader. The bootloader is typically found in the device's storage or memory area, often accessible through specific commands or tools depending on the hardware.

This tool is meant for configuration, but the boot menu only displays the SATA drive.

When you select partition to install PopOS, there's an option down below for bootloader. Make sure you select your drive for that and not your USB.

Consider purchasing a more affordable SSD if the laptop is regularly used for daily tasks.
