Guide to MGSV FOB terms and conditions
Hey there, Diamond Dog warriors! I’ve set aside some time to assist each of you in sharpening your skills for attacking and protecting our FOBs. When heading toward enemy or random bases, keep in mind the importance of detail, security, and numbers. Soldiers often wear helmets that block headshots and alert the whole base around level 25-30. Always carry at least one deadly weapon—whether it’s a suppressed sniper, pistol, or shotgun. The goal is to neutralize threats quickly when things get intense, especially if you’re defending your position.
Shotguns are ideal because they pose a serious risk close to enemies, even with armor. Three or two shots and you’ll be done. During the helicopter phase, use binoculars to scout ahead before being teleported. On the ground, just lay down and go prone—most foes won’t notice unless they’re directly in front. If you want to stay hidden, move slowly and avoid drawing attention until it’s safe.
When enemies are watching you, use tactics like shooting a tracking dart or a stun bullet at nearby objects to divert their focus. If you play as Snake, rely on sonar to detect hidden threats. When interrogating enemies, decide whether to kill, stun, or toss them overboard—sometimes they’ll alert others or trigger an alert.
In defensive mode, remember that defenders know exactly where everyone is and their status. Use diversion—stun, sleep, or fake zones—to mislead them. Hide in low areas, especially near water, to avoid detection. Running on lower levels until you reach the mission edge can buy time, but be cautious not to draw attention.
If you fail, having a lethal weapon is crucial. It’ll end fights quickly and help you escape. When your base is barricaded, focus on weapons and allies. Wake up any fallen soldiers to expand your search area. Once safe, you can re-enter and reclaim your position.
Stay sharp, team!
Sure thing! Just look at the mission list, okay? Also, add me to Steam when you have a base set up. I’ll keep you safe from all the invaders.
I remember now it felt strange at first, around 17 years old, but I realize how much there is to do. There are 50 hours involved.
I really enjoy this game too. I’m mostly focused on mission 6, but all the side quests are complete. I love wandering around and taking down enemies. I don’t like the base management part—it feels unnecessary and takes time away. Could someone else handle the base, and I’ll focus on getting things done?
