Guide to manual RAM overclocking assistance
Iv had them for 8 months already, it's a bit too late to send back. I've already boosted the CPU and GPU speeds, so I want the RAM to match its rated performance. I prefer a lot of RAM for my work. I also intend to upgrade the CPU and GPU soon, and this RAM will suit my future needs. Does that make sense?
It's quite unusual. The Ryzen 5000 line isn't typically associated with memory problems, so you'd expect the RAM to function properly at a minimum of 2400 MHz. I understand this could seem odd, but did you actually save your BIOS settings after adjusting the RAM speed? Usually, if the new speed doesn’t work, the system tries to boot, then powers off and restarts. This happens because it first attempts the new speed but fails, causing a shutdown and reverting to the original 2133 MHz setting.
I always double-check every modification made. Just re-read the updates again now, remembering what the person mentioned earlier about updating/reflashing the BIOS and clearing CMOS. It seems it brought the device up to 2400mhz, and looking at the board site they shared a new BIOS last month—really impressive for the fixes they added.
