Guide to manual RAM overclocking assistance
I own a motherboard with a BIOS that doesn't recognize the XMP/BOCO or similar overclocking profiles. It simply isn't listed in the QVL, which is why it doesn't support those settings. This chip model is different—ASUS X570 PRO Wi-Fi RAM, model CMH64GX4M4E3200C16W. If anyone can assist with manual overclocking in this unusual BIOS, that would be incredibly helpful. I'll also mention Disc- abyssalentity on Discord for easier communication if needed.
The board needs to handle XMP, but ASUS places it awkwardly. For advanced settings, open the Tweaker tab, navigate to AI Overclock Tuner, and choose DOCP 1. You can also manually input XMP values if needed, though it's not required.
CPU, Task Manager, and after a BIOS reset everything remains the same.
CPU-Z provides accurate insights into memory performance. DRAM operates at double data rate, meaning its actual speed matches half the advertised figure (for example, 1600MHz should reflect the correct rate). In the same settings panel, adjust memory frequency according to the device's specifications—typically around 3200—and configure DRAM voltage to 1.35V. Set memory timings such as tCL, tRCD, tRP, and tRAS to 16-20-20-38. If available, both tRCD and tRCDRD options should be aligned for consistency.
Both images are available for your reference. You can enter BIOS afterward and attempt the change, though I’m unsure if there’s an option to disable auto settings. It might be worth checking the documentation first.
