Co-op in Dark Souls 3 lets you play together with your friend, but it’s not as seamless as in Dead Islands. You can team up and tackle challenges side by side, though progression through the story isn’t fully synchronized. It feels more like working together on tough sections rather than moving through a unified narrative.

Co-op brings them in, but you can still tell the story that way. Having two players is actually preferable since it gives you a higher chance of defeating an invader.

When you haven’t played Dark Souls before, the process involves your companions appearing in the area you’re trying to explore. You’d then defeat the boss, earning souls (and other items based on their covenant) for your friends. Afterward, you return to your own world and repeat the cycle for each companion. If you have two friends, they’ll each face the boss three times. Many find it odd that you can resummon them in every new area—there are no loading screens, but some zones block summoning, and once summoned, you’re stuck in that zone.

I struggle to recall the statistics since I'm getting carried away, but if you see Estus Flasks running low, focus on boosting the stat that increases your HP the most. If you excel at blocking and take minimal damage, prioritize the stat that enhances stamina for better blocking or the one that raises strength for greater damage output.

Boost your power for greater HP and stamina, helping you take in more damage while using a shield. Improving your weapons at the blacksmith matters more than starting with Strength and Dexterity stats, since those provide a larger damage increase compared to leveling up STR and DEX. Begin with just enough STR and DEX to access the weapons you desire.

Hey, I realize this is supposed to be a hard game and all and I can't seem to get pissed off at it and keep trying again but I can't get past the high wall of vigor even though it's like the second level of the game. I can never also seem to keep souls long enough to even upgrade my character. Do you have any recommendations? Here is my character if it helps

Consider purchasing the White Soap Stone, which is essential for cooperative play. Invoking yourself into other players' realms is an effective method to gather souls for leveling up. The game is fresh, with frequent summoning events, so you'll likely be summoned into someone else's world within a few minutes. After several sessions, you should have sufficient souls for additional levels or to upgrade your gear. Repeat this process in each area as you advance, and you should manage your soul acquisition smoothly. Right now, it seems unnecessary to heavily invest points in Vigor; 20 appears optimal. You might better allocate points toward Endurance. Your character appears very strong (95.3% weight), suggesting a preference for blocking with a shield. Endurance will be beneficial, allowing you to withstand more damage before stamina runs out, which helps with blocking. As you advance and encounter stronger shields, check their Stability rating. A higher Stability in your shield means you lose less energy when blocking, enabling you to take more hits while still retaining stamina for attacks or movement.

It seems you're asking about what's causing your character to feel heavy. Amour, if you mean Ambrose, could be related to his intense presence or emotional depth. Let me know how I can help further!

The main challenge is managing three weapons—shield, crossbow, and Claymore—plus a Pole Axe or Halberd. The Claymore is essentially a greatsword, though lighter versions exist. I’m unsure about the exact armor type, but it seems to be medium weight. Keeping only one weapon and shield at once will significantly reduce your load. Aim for under 70% of your total weight; that puts you in the medium class and boosts your speed and movement.
