I’ll just share a couple of ideas before I wrap up this thread.
A) Consider creating a Steam account for CS:GO, even if it means saving up first.
B) CS:GO 1.6 is entertaining but the graphics are far from modern standards. Adjusting the game files would require significant changes, which could be tough without proper knowledge.

That was nearly two decades ago, right? Check out the old discussion boards.
Have you completed any new titles yet? Why would you want to revisit old games and mods?

since you mentioned a very old laptop, it seems it can't handle modern games like CSGO.

It's not possible to enjoy the game without paying, since you can only compete with automated programs.
