I set up a Windows XP disc for installation. The system launches and prepares the files, but just before the install begins, it shows a blue screen. Someone can assist with resolving this issue.

It looks like the problem might be with the computer rather than the boot disk.

You're not using brand-new hardware, right? You also set up a W-XP installation disc.

The equipment isn't that recent—it's around 3 to 5 years old now. I built it using the ISO file I downloaded, and it's running on my current computer.

It might be a RAM problem. Consider removing all RAM modules and installing just one to test.

I was working on a laptop with 6 GB of RAM. I tried the 6 GB first, then removed the 2 GB module for the 4 GB RAM but the issue persisted. After putting the 2 GB back in, I removed the 4 GB module again and still faced the same problem.
