I purchased a brand new motherboard to upgrade to the latest 12th generation processors, which need LGA1700 boards. I bought one today from Currys, expected tomorrow. I just noticed it only supports DDR5 RAM and not DDR4, as there’s no indication otherwise. I’ll link the board in the description and anyone more knowledgeable than me if I’ve made a mistake.

The CPU is compatible with DDR4 or DDR5. The choice depends on the motherboard. You cannot use both DDR4 and DDR5 boards together. The available board is DDR5 only.

They have a DDR4 model available, but you received a DDR5 one. The only choices are purchasing the DDR5 or exchanging it for the DDR4 version.
