I want to play CS 1.6 with my friends online. This is the first time I’ve set up an internet server before. After watching some YouTube tutorials, I learned HLDS is recommended for creating a dedicated server for CS 1.6. Although I’m trying to follow those guides, I’m still having trouble getting the server to work on my public IP. My friends can’t connect over the internet because it’s running locally instead. Please help! Thanks, CHEERS!

Open the necessary ports on your router to enable connections. Search YouTube for CS for guidance. Many games require particular ports to function.
