I started my freshly built PC with Windows 8.1 and attempted to install drivers and updates via a webpage. However, the system indicates no internet connection despite being connected through the same Ethernet cable as another device. When I changed the cable to my new machine, the issue persisted. The Network and Sharing Center only lists Broadband (PPPoE) and Dial-up options. Need advice on resolving this. Mobo: Asus Z97-AR

Place the drivers on the disc included with the motherboard.

Get your motherboard's LAN drivers from the included CD or a USB drive.
