Guide for configuring OBS Setup
Hello! I'm working on improving my gameplay recordings with OBS for YouTube. Previously, pixelation happened, so I boosted the bitrate to 8000. Now, when playing GTA V, the recording feels very choppy with big frame drops, even though the in-game experience is normal. I'm using game capture and have the following specs: Intel i5-4460 at 3.2 GHz, MSI R9 390 GPU, HyperX Fury 2x4GB RAM at 1600MHz, MSI H97 PC MATE MOBO EVGA Supernova 750W power supply, Seagate Barricuda 1TB HDD, and a 7200rpm SanDisk 256GB SSD.
For the AMD version of OBS with VCE integration, visit the forum thread here: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs...ort.13996/
There isn't a single tool that handles voice, gameplay, and Skype calls together in one interface. You may need to use separate apps for each function and combine them manually.
I was advised to use this specific OBS version to boost performance on an AMD GPU. Your recordings suffered from unacceptable frame drops, even though your system should handle the games well. When installing, it reported a missing string instead of any button. I questioned whether my GPU would work with this OBS release, since it didn’t show the R9 390 in its compatible list, but he didn’t reply. Please help! I need to record some gameplay tonight. Additionally, if this issue becomes common with OBS, could someone suggest a simple, free recording tool that captures gameplay, voice, and system audio together? Thanks!
