Guide CPU/MOBO Support
I’m checking out a new CPU right now—currently running an I5-9600 with an ASUS Z390-P, 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, and a Gigabyte 3060ti. My MOBO stopped working recently, and finding a replacement is tricky. I’m looking for the best value within a £250 budget, focusing on gaming performance. No preference between AMD or Intel, thanks! Curtis
Begin with an AM4 5600 or an Intel 12400 to maintain your DDR4 setup. How did it fail? Edited May 5, 2024 by leclod
Not really sure if I've been using it long enough, just turned it on and nothing happened.
Here’s a revised version of your text:
Try this PCPartPicker part list: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.5 GHz 6-core processor (£113.97 at Amazon UK) paired with the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB cooler (£39.00 at Computer Orbit). The motherboard is a Gigabyte B550 UD AC ATX AM4 model (£98.95 at Amazon UK). Combined total comes to £251.92, including shipping, taxes, and any available discounts. The wraith stock cooler isn’t performing well, and the thermal paste isn’t doing a good job. My setup uses a 5600 and reaches 65°F at 30% load; with a 3060 Ti processor, temperatures will rise further, which is why I added the PS120SE.
