I've been working to improve my skins in CS:GO, but it's been a tough journey. I began with a basic outfit and moved through many variations without realizing I had to wait a week, losing an item along the way. Now I'm stuck with a specific skin and no luck finding better options. Some trades keep getting rejected, even when they seem good. Should I invest in a decent skin for $2-$4 or continue trying?

Trading basics start with CSGO. About 80% of interactions involve people who understand what they're doing and are eager to get more than they currently have. Working with them won't help your progress. The remaining 20% grasp the situation somewhat and trade items that are only worth a fraction of what they're trading for, mainly because selling them would yield less profit. Those are the types you should avoid. Such trades are rare—better to stay quiet on forums or join the toxic community and flood the CSGO lounge with questionable offers. Eventually, someone will trade you something more valuable than what you're offering.

Trading on CSGL can sometimes be a real challenge. You're constantly facing fraudsters and people who wouldn't take your offers seriously. I once received a deal for my AK wasteland rebel, but he wanted it in exchange for a FT dragon king—worth only about $3 compared to the $18 I had for my skins.
