Guidance for boosting your Ryzen 5 3600's CPU and RAM performance
Hi, I attempted to boost my PC's performance. Initial specs: CPU - Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.6 GHz, Memory - Crucial Ballistix DDR4 2666 MHz CL16 (likely Micron E Die), GPU - Zotac 1650 Super (1530 MHz Core, 6000 MHz Memory), Motherboard - Gigabyte B550m DS3H, Cooler - Deepcool Gammax 400 Pro with dual fans. Overclocked specs: CPU at 4.35 GHz all cores @1.26V VCore and 1.14V SoC. Idle temps ~45°C, peaks around 83°C under load. RAM - 3200 MHz CL16-18-18-18-40 at 1.35V. Questions: Are my voltages within safe limits? Any tips to push further? Could RAM voltages be increased? If so, what SoC voltages are recommended? Thanks ahead!
Confidence is solid, your CPU runs well at a low voltage—especially that. You might lower the SOC a bit, aiming closer to 1.1 would help. Feel free to increase memory voltage and see if timing improves. You still have some flexibility.
The highest safe voltage for your RAM depends on its specifications. Check the datasheet for your module to confirm the maximum operating voltage.
Generally, you wouldn't adjust the settings automatically; you'd manually configure them to exclude XMP.
