Hello! I'm facing some issues when overclocking my 3950x. I started with a stable 4.15ghz all-core setting, but I'm curious if using tools like Precision Boost Overdrive could boost gaming performance. After adjusting some parameters in Ryzen Master, I've lost track of my previous settings. The BLK doesn't seem to accept the default 100.00 value, and I'm not sure what to do next. Would be great if someone could help via a Discord call—any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks ahead.

Did you install the OC in Ryzen Master or did you modify the BIOS? I mostly work with the BIOS for overclocking. Ryzen Master works, but it doesn’t match the performance of BIOS settings. I’d avoid changing the base clock. There are minor improvements possible, though memory and other components reliant on base clock could be affected. Right now I have a full-core OC at 4.2GHz with 1.225V.

In single-threaded programs, yes. Coordinating all cores remains quicker overall. It's unlikely you're hitting 4.8GHz on any individual core. The voltage you chose for 4.15GHz is correct. You can adjust each CCD in BIOS—like CCD1 at 4.2 and CCD2 at 4.0. Just make sure your system can interpret it properly.

I purchased a 3950x chip from Silicon Lottery. It seems I was operating around 1.325V, though I'll need to verify that.
