Hello, I looked through forums and the internet to find a solution for my issue, but I wasn't able to locate any answers. There are many errors, like 404 pages, after so many years have passed. My spec is an Intel i7 2600K with a Contact CPU cooler and two additional fans (idling at 38°C on load, around 60°C). The motherboard model I have is MSI P67A--DG65 B3. I've updated the BIOS several times from MSI's website since 2013, using 4x DDR3 Kingstone HyperX 4GB 1333MHz, MSI GTX 1070 OCZ 750W power supply. It's an older build with a bottleneck, but it still functions properly. Currently, I'm running it on a Genui OC 4,2 GH (button mode on the motherboard). I've tried various guides and even a video by Linus using the same board and CPU, but I can't exceed 4,2 GH. If I try higher speeds, the PC crashes after the IDE/SSD screen and restarts. I've set it to 4,5 GH with RAM at 1600 and adjusted the voltage to 1,6408 (close to the 1,65 option), but it still doesn't work. I've also experimented with different clock speeds, even going up to 5,1, though I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong. After a reboot, the RAM speed returns to 1333. I noticed others overclock this model to 5,1, but I don't know if that's the right approach. Please help and give me some advice. Thank you all.

It might be a flawed silicon experiment where you can't extract any extra value no matter what you try.

Begin with 1.35v core voltage, "Low VDroop" LLC configuration, and 45x CPU ratio. Perform stress tests, then gradually raise the VCore by 0.005v until stability is achieved or thermal limits are reached.

Start with this setup if you need it. Many of these boards have failed due to excessive heat in the VRM. When adjusting manually, raise the core voltage slightly to maintain stability above 4 GHz. My 2500K maxed out at around 4.45 GHz with 1.35 V. For 2600K under cooler conditions, you can push it further with higher voltages—though that's unlikely. For regular daily use, cap the voltage at 1.35 V for both Ivy and Sandy chips. RAM settings won't influence CPU performance; stick to 1333 MHz until the core stabilizes. Overclocking involves more than just speed and voltage.

I’ll pay attention to your suggestions and stick to the standard OC. I’m thinking about getting a new CPU, memory, and storage next year, but right now it’s not the best time to buy anything. Regarding your question about using an old power supply—9 years old or not? It depends on compatibility; check the specs before deciding.
