Performance optimized at maximum settings with minimal or double MSAA.

Yes, even with advanced settings, you can use VSync.

Disable VSync and avoid touching anything in the advanced options. These settings require a lot of effort.

Surprised by the results. My 980 gives the same performance, but with double TSAA, I sometimes drop to 52-55 fps during the day.

Very unlikely you'll see grass on ultra, keep it above 60

I mostly work through several short bursts of intense activity lasting a few seconds each.

I don't use VSync and all AA are set to 2X MSAA plus 2xtxaa. Everything runs at a high frame rate (no ultra). I skip advanced options and never drop below 60. Not even when the wind is strong and multiple chopper blades are spinning together. I usually maintain around 78fps until entering the forest, where it stays above 62 (per frame rates and the Steam counter). But I've experienced a drop when flying low in a jet over the city.

Grass is very lush, but performance is maxed out. Ms aa should be on 2, TX on 2 if you enable MSAA. Both were turned off. Shadows are set on NVIDIA, grass appears to be the main issue. Frames range from 60 to 85 in city, 45-75 in the hills, and under 30 briefly. Two instances occurred with nearly 3 days of gameplay.
