I recently purchased a 1440p monitor. It wasn't meant for gaming since I'm not a big gamer, but I wanted to know if it would provide a solid frame rate at medium to high settings on recent games on a GTX 770 with WindForce and 2GB RAM. Would lowering the resolution to 1080p give a better experience? Thanks ahead of time. Also, the seller just emailed me saying they accidentally quoted it too cheaply, so my order is canceled.

To hit 60fps you won’t need to play many games at top settings. Some titles can run smoothly at medium or even high levels, while others may reach over 60fps if you adjust the card.

Purchase an R9 290 with overclocking. Opt for sapphire or powercolor models from Trifan. XFX works if it's affordable.

I don’t intend to upgrade unless the frames are faulty. I’m ready to revert to 1080p if needed.

Certainly, a 4GB edition would be preferable.
