Ellis_D shared his experience with the EVGA GTX 970, noting he increased the clock speed from 1379mhz to 1450mhz and achieved a score of 1710 in Heaven 4.0 at 67.9fps with 1080p. He questioned whether his card performs well or if someone else's is lacking, asking about testing with maximum settings, fullscreen mode, and 8xAA or 4x. He also mentioned not adjusting the memory or voltage. Another user responded that he likely got a better overclock with a +500 mem and more cores.
The test results were impressive, ultra, extreme, and 8xAA 1080p. I decided to try again.
@Ellis_D suggested possibly increasing the OC with +500 mem and more cores. I hope that's possible. I'm limited by my current core setup and can't go beyond stock memory. My card isn't very good at overclocking.
That's a nice guy, I managed to get mine up to 1400 and 7600 at stock volts on my Strix. I might keep it there so the card lasts longer.
