Consider selling your CPU and motherboard. Use the motherboard for a H97 board with an i5-4460, which should offer similar value and much improved performance.

I'm okay with my motherboard, I'm just checking what I can fit for a CPU. Maybe I'll look on eBay for an i5.

My grammar is still developing, I'm adjusting to the G710. I used to have a G105.

For an Intel chip, you need a new motherboard. It’s simple to trade on Reddit.com/R/HardwareSwap—buying and selling hardware is straightforward there. You’ll find it easy to exchange your CPU for a compatible i5+H97 board.

It seems promising to purchase a second-generation i5 from eBay at a reasonable cost, though you might encounter issues with the motherboard quality. Alternatively, searching for a Haswell i5 could potentially save around $25, especially if it includes a stock cooler.

I just watched a video showing the FX-8370 paired with a 960 and it works really well. I’m leaning toward getting the 8370.
