You recently purchased an EVGA GXT 960 4GB SSC graphics card for your gaming setup. The components include an AMD FX-6300, 16GB 1600 RAM, GTX 960, and a 1TB Toshiba SSD. You're facing issues such as stuttering and FPS drops. Someone can assist you with these problems—unless you're running at ultra settings, your current configuration might be the cause.

Don't stress, I played GTA 5 on a 650 Ti with 2GB RAM at 50 frames per second—until the graphics card failed! Let me know if it helps.

It seems like you're suggesting the FX 6300 as a likely candidate.

It might be the CPU hindering your GTX 960's performance. With an i3-4150 and a GTX 960, you could achieve around 50-60 frames per second at 1080p using medium to high settings.

Occasionally individuals require a CPU with an overclock, perhaps around 4.5Ghz or even 4.8Ghz.

It doesn't always assist, particularly when the performance per core in the FX lineup is quite low compared to Intel options. Still, trying it out might be worthwhile.

They aren't completely accurate; each serves a function.

Possibly, though these chips serve many functions!

The AMD CPUs are actually quite reliable. I've been using one for a year without any issues. My plan is to upgrade to the FX-8350 soon.
