I own an MSI GTX 960 2GB. When I launch DOOM at maximum settings it operates around 15-20 FPS without any overclocking. After adjusting the core clock to approximately 1580 MHz, there was no improvement in performance. Anyone know why this happens?

doom could be constrained by the cpu.
how is your card performing?
i like afterburner.
adjust the temp/power slider to its maximum, and the card will reach the highest clock allowed for that chip.
usually, increasing the MHz doesn’t help much, since all graphics cards have specific temperature, power, and thermal design limits defined by Nvidia.
