Hello, I'm beginning this conversation about my overclocking achievements on my gaming X 1080. I've managed to reach boost clock speeds up to 2152.

Michael Gross shares his thoughts on the situation, noting that strix models struggle to reach 2050 plus and sometimes drop below 2000. He emphasizes that each card behaves differently, with some performing well and others poorly, attributing this to the inherent nature of the technology rather than the board partner's influence.

2152 offers a nice improvement; have you checked it on the valley benchmark to assess stability?

1080p full screen, extreme HD setting

I tested it on the Heaven benchmark 3.0 and achieved just over 4000 at the highest settings. At 1080p, it dropped to 2139 after about an hour in Crisis 3. Some titles like Metro stayed at 2152, while others fell to 2139. No crashes occurred at all. If you're curious, I strongly suggest the MSI Gaming X brand.

That's quite impressive, with your setup at 2128mhz / 11190mhz. Valley extreme HD around 5100 and heaven extreme around 3100.

It's really strange since I've heard those strix models can't hit 2050 plus and even fall below 2000.
