Hi, my MSI Armor GTX 1080 has been running for nine months. Suddenly it started acting up. I've tested it on two different systems, but the issue remains consistent. When I launch any DirectX games or benchmarks, the program crashes. For instance, Halo Infinite freezes right after loading into the menu and 3DMark's demo test fails without starting. Heaven Benchmark showed some strange API failures, while OpenGL simply stopped and closed the benchmark window. The DX9 and DX11 tests ran for a few frames before freezing and crashing without ending the tab. I could still hear the music during the freeze, but scenes would be incomplete. Running FurMark works without problems. Other games also crash with the same error. The MSI Kombustor works perfectly. I suspect this might be a software or driver-related problem. Could you help me figure out if it's fixable and whether it's hardware or software causing the issue?

You have a 1080 model running fine without updates, though you haven’t installed the latest NVIDIA driver. It seems like a driver update might be needed for the GPU, but there’s no change in the BIOS or use of third-party GPU tools.

You didn't modify BIOS or MSI Afterburner settings, only connected them directly.
