When I run CS:GO, my GPU hits 20% load and 100 FPS, but it caps at that level because VSync is disabled. With an i7-4790, you can try boosting the frame rate to around 300 FPS by adjusting settings or using a better graphics driver.

Are you adjusting the video settings? Consider setting fps_max to zero.

fps max consistently drops to lower numbers compared to fps_max 300. You usually see around 80-140 fps, while your setup performs much worse despite similar settings. The tickrate doesn’t seem to affect the actual FPS. It looks like the issue is more related to your CPU than just the GPU model. I’m curious how much CPU usage you have at 1080p with ultra settings—100% would definitely cause a bottleneck.

I didn't say tickrate increases FPS. It's actually my launch settings—it just makes copying everything simpler, letting the options use multiple cores for better performance.
