I purchased a GTX 1070 Founders a few months ago, and it’s functioning well. However, after buying it, I’ve observed an unusual issue. Since I already had MSI Afterburner installed from my previous setup, I’ve been using that tool. Initially, I adjusted the overclock settings, which increased memory clocks and fan speed, but the core clock remained unchanged. I experimented with both lowering and raising the clocks, yet nothing altered the core clock value.

Question from DrYellowJacket: "GTX 1070 Not Overclocking"
I recently purchased a GTX 1070 Founders and it has been functioning well, but after buying it I've observed an unusual issue. Since I already had MSI Afterburner installed because of an existing MSI card, I've been using that tool. Initially, I attempted to overclock the card, which resulted in increased memory clocks and fan speed, though the core clock remained unchanged. I experimented with adjusting both clock speeds but found no improvement.
My specifications are as follows:
GPU: GTX 1070 Founders
CPU: 6600K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60
MOBO: ASRock Z170M Pro4s
RAM: Ballistix Sport LT 16GB DDR4 2400
I shared this experience on the overclocking forum but didn't receive any replies within five hours.
